This week has been rough. I woke up on Monday and immediately found out about the Vegas attack from Isaac. I cried, my heart hurt and it still does. 💔💔💔

I can’t imagine a world where stuff like this happens, but we’re living it. It’s so hard to go on with daily life like nothing has happened and it seems impossible to have faith in humanity.

I like to keep things positive on here so I’ve been quiet this week… mainly because I didn’t really have words to describe how I was feeling. I’m sure many of you feel the same.

I’m not sure what the solution is to stop tragedies like this from happening, but I know that we can’t lose hope. There are still good people in this world. 💕

My heart has been so heavy this week too. I think it is important for us to take the time and space to feel our shock, fear, hurt, anger, confusion, overwhelm, heartbreak… so that we may move beyond them and find our way back to hope and love with deeper appreciation for stronger resolve to defend them. It’s an easy enough solution: confiscate guns and forbid their sale. Until gun control is a reality in the US tragedies like this one will keep on happening. There’s a reason this doesn’t happen over here in Europe…

@eatingbirdfood it breaks my heart to hear and see tragedies like this unfold whether in the US or anywhere in the world… my immediate reaction is why are innocent lives taken like in a blink of an eye.. but we can’t lose hope instead show love and appreciation for everyone that helped make the situation better and safer.. for those that picked up the shattered pieces and returned dignity and love to so many innocent people!! i really hope we can find a permanent solution to prevent and stop mass shootings.. one way ive tried to explain violence to kids is by telling them the world is filled with wrong and evil and its up to us to always do the right thing to make this world a better place.. and honestly allow the kids to express themselves and come up with solutions you will be amazed at what they will come up with
