This little love bug is 1 month old today and her yawn sums up how the whole EBF fam is feeling rn.

We’ve been home from the hospital for just over a week and we’re slowly adapting to our new normal… full of newborn snuggles, sleepless nights, pumping, one-handed meals, poopy diapers, tube feedings and tears. Postpartum hormones are cray and apparently it’s totally normal to cry about nothing and everything at the same time… all while walking through the grocery store. 💁🏻‍♀️ It certainly hasn’t been an easy month for any of us, but this little warrior babe is so strong and amazes us every day. 🙌

Thank you for letting me share this new part of my life with you. 💗 Let me know in the comments if there’s anything about motherhood that you’d like for me to cover in the next few months. I’ve got a postpartum post coming, but I’m looking for more ideas. ☺️ #ebfbaby #babybird #oliviajane #1monthold #1monthbaby #heartwarrior #heartmama #chdwarrior #chdbaby

  • You’re doing great, and yes, all of that is normal and the tears keep coming haha. Inspired by the strength of you and your little lady. I’d love to see you do a post on cooking at home for busy, working moms. I’m 17 months pp, but I’m always looking for tips on how to get a good meal on the table while managing everything else. Thank you!! ❤️

  • Totally understand on the lack of sleep and crying 🙌🏻 it’s been getting a bit better at five weeks so hang in there! Hmm for topics maybe balancing time with baby and time with spouse ie date nights. Or easy meals when dealing with lack of sleep or how to de stress and take a moment for yourself. I go for coffee most mornings and she falls asleep in the stroller so that gives me a moment for myself to just sip on coffee and look at my phone 😁

  • Wow! A month already? Probably feels like a lifetime in many ways and blink in many others. Enjoy all the craziness of motherhood, good and bad, happy and sad, emotional, tired, etc. Every second is so worth it. Enjoy this time because before you know it she will be mobile and you’ll have a hard time keeping up with her. Blessings to you and your family. Enjoy!

  • My baby was born last week and I completely understand about crying for no reason 😖 . I had some complications but I’m still thankful for my little bundle of joy. I look at your baby and I know if it was complicated for me , I can’t imagine how this process was for you . Thanks for sharing your story with us ! 🤗

  • You just post whatever feels honest and helpful and cathartic. Those tears are so crazy right? Always a vital release. Never at a convenient time. Find all the rest and mental space you can so you can keep that little girl strong.

  • The hormone crash is no joke. I seriously felt like I was losing my mind, it was awful! Hopefully the worst of that is behind you. You, Olivia and Isaac are clearly a great team 😄
