It can be SO tough to stay on track with healthy eating during the holidays. It honestly seems like sugary treats are everywhere and once you start eating them, you legit start craving more! 🍪🍰🥧🍩 Over the years I’ve found one little rule that works well for me when it comes to holiday treats: if someone didn’t make it, it’s probably not worth it. 💁🏻‍♀️ Store-bought pies, cakes, cookies and the like simply aren’t as tasty as homemade goodies that someone put their time, effort and love into making.💗 Not to mention, most homemade desserts are usually less processed and more reasonable in size than those that are store-bought. This isn’t a hard and fast rule, but I feel like it can be helpful if you work in an office with tons of holiday goodies all around or when you’re at holiday parties and trying to decide which dessert to try. Just remember homemade > store-bought.

And if you’re in the mood for a delicious homemade cookie. I’m sharing these chewy oatmeal raisin cookies #ontheblog today. They’re made with oats and oat flour so they’re naturally #glutenfree and so dang chewy and delicious. 🍪🍪🍪
