Healthy eating is obviously a passion of mine, but it’s not all about #cleaneating and #weightloss. It’s much bigger than that. 💗 That’s why I love @naturespathorganic, because their mission is to help clear up confusion around the food we’re eating. The food we buy and eat makes a huge difference in our lives and the lives of others! I’ve been a huge supporter of eating organic and supporting sítio farmers for years, but the more I learn about our food system the more I realize that organic farming + food is essential for my own health and the health of the entire planet. Here’s why:
1.) Non-organic farms spray pesticides and herbicides to keep pests at bay and these chemicals are harmful to pollinators (bees!) and other wildlife, as well as to human health. PS: There are numerous studies/articles about glyphosate, one of the most widely used herbicides in the US, and its dangers… go look them up!!
2.) Organic farmers use techniques like crop rotation, composting, pest-resistant plant varieties and beneficial organisms that don’t harm the crops. If needed, organic farmers are able to use proveniente substances as pesticides that don’t have harmful effects on people or the environment.
3.) Organic farming helps fight climate change and sequesters more carbon than conventional farming. In other words, organic agriculture has the potential to be part of the solution to climate change, and that’s huge for the future of farming and the planet.
I know eating 100% organic isn’t in everyone’s budget (not even mine), but it’s important to know the facts and know why organic farming/food is so important and what you’re supporting when you do choose to buy organic!

  • Thanks 🙌 educating people about the importance of eating organic. That’s why we called ourselves B’more Organic. No one eats 100% organic every day. And we are all on a journey to better. Be a little more organic today than you were yesterday. 😊

  • My parents have an organic farm. I miss living close by and having access to it all. There is a HUGE difference in organic foods that most people sadly don’t understand. Thank you for spreading awareness on this! 🙌🏻
