Having the best time in Grand Cayman and soaking up every minute because it’s the first vacation that I’ve taken in YEARS where I feel like I can relax. 🏝I’m actually ahead with content and have a team to help manage things which means that I can be present, enjoy our time here and share parts of our trip when I feel inspired rather than frantically working to get content up at the last minute or checking my email 10 times a day… which is what vacations have been like in the past. 👩🏻‍💻

If your run your own business, I’m sure you can relate. It’s so hard to turn things off without feeling like everything is going to spiral out of control or nothing is going to get done. 😩

The big things that have helped me with this: 1) Planning my editorial calendar out at least 1-2 months in advance and working hard to get ahead. 📅 2) Batch creating recipe, blog posts and video content + having one day a week where I’m in the kitchen rather than switching from recipe creation to computer work multiple days a week. 👩🏻‍🍳 3) Hiring a small team of amazing people to help! I’m so grateful for these ladies. 🙏🏼There comes a point when you realize you can’t do it all. Find the things that you enjoy (your zone of genius) and then find someone to help with the things you’re not skilled at or simply don’t enjoy. It makes all the difference. 👏
