Having just oats for breakfast never keeps me full, which is why I love adding a little protein to the mix… either through by making my egg and oat combo bowl (obsessed) OR adding protein right into the oatmeal, which is what I do with cottage cheese. 💪
I don’t know why this is the case, but I totally go through phases with cottage cheese. Some weeks it sounds really good and I add it to my shopping cart. Some weeks it sounds meh so I don’t. 💁🏻‍♀️ But when I am feeling it, I LOVE adding it to my oats for an extra boost of protein and some added creaminess. 🥣💯
Pro tip: cook your oats normally, remove from heat and then stir the cottage cheese in. This method works better than adding the cottage cheese in while the oats are cooking! And if you don’t want it stirred in, you can just use the cottage cheese as a topping! .
