Confession time. I totally swore off steel cut oats when I first found out about them because I thought they took too long to cook and ain’t nobody got time for oats that take up to 20 mins. ๐Ÿ™…๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ But then I found an easy method that makes the most perfect bowl of steel cut oats. They turn out super creamy, but still have a bit of that chewy texture and theyโ€™re a breeze to whip up.
.
All you have to do is bring the oats to a boil the night before, cover and let them soak overnight. You’ll wake up to perfect oats without any of the work… and no water boiling over and burning your stovetop, which used to happen to me every single time I tried to cook steel cut oats. ๐Ÿ™ˆ
.
Trust me when I say that this is the BEST way to cook steel cut oats on the stovetop. ๐Ÿ’ฏ
.
Head over to the blog to read all about steel cut oats, the difference between rolled vs steel vs quick oats AND get instructions for all the different ways to cook steel cut oats. You’ve got options, my friend.
